This is my favourite real wedding on Adore so far. The gorgeous photography by JoJo Stott just captures all the exquisitely stylish details perfectly. It all looks so calm, romantic, intimate and beautiful…in fact looking at these images makes me feel like I’m on a luxury holiday, which is a pretty impressive thing for photos to do!

It helps that I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting the bride and groom, Sarah and Nigel. It makes it just that bit more personal and me even happier to feature their wedding on Adore. It took place at Sarah’s parents home in north Lincolnshire last June, enjoy….

How did you find the wedding planning process?

Being an organisation freak I found it equally enjoyable and stressful at the same time… my high point would be seeing the amazing tipis being erected in the garden, and my low point would be the two weeks of rain that proceeded the wedding!

Where did you look for wedding inspiration?

I looked at some of the good wedding blogs but the real inspiration was my parent’s garden. I think the ideas are out there, but you really make lovely weddings by thinking about the people and their personal style rather than ‘wedding things’…

How would you describe your wedding style? 

Simple… and a little rustic in places, just white and grey and lots of lush green things in the garden. Minimal… with a bit of potting shed chic thrown in. City style in the countryside.

Did you have any DIY projects?

The confetti was hand dried white petals from my parent’s garden, which we scented with vanilla pods.

What would be your top tip for other brides?

Don’t buy things “for weddings”, just get things that you love. Have a vision and stick to it… then you only need one idea.
